Local Source

Local Source is a neighbourhood market, specializing in farm fresh produce, locally produced goods and artisan cheeses. We have a full scale bakery and kitchen in-house providing freshly baked goods and prepared foods to our community. We are located in the growing North End of Halifax and are open for business 7 days a week.  As a business that is based on local food expertise we flow with the seasons. Our goal is to help boost the local economy and to foster a vibrant and dynamic food culture in Nova Scotia connecting consumers with seasonal eating. Buying locally offers customers healthy alternatives, reduces food miles and waste, and supports a more sustainable models of agriculture and encourages building good relationships around the dining room table.
