Often drawn to bright colors and contrast, I had to paint this scene of local Halifax LF Bakery (reference shot by the very talented Halifax photographer Adele Beaton who graciously gave me permission to paint). Painted with gouache watercolors with a focus on adding as much vibrancy as possible not only because I love color but it is also reflective of the colorful North End. The LF Bakery is very well known and well loved café in the heart of the North End of Halifax.
