Open City is an annual celebration of all the entrepreneurs and small businesses that make our community so special, vibrant, exciting, and welcoming. This city-wide event happens every year in May and includes many great North End Halifax Businesses.
From Back Door Takeout being served from some of the city’s top chefs, amazing deals at local boutiques, opportunities to make and enjoy art, music on the corner – you never know what to expect at Open City. One thing is certain though, it’s always an amazing opportunity to get out and meet the folks between Halifax and Dartmouth’s local shops and restaurants. Try something new, revisit your old favourites, take the road less travelled and enjoy.
OPEN CITY IN NORTH END HALIFAX
In addition to the sales and promotions put on by 40+ North End businesses, the North End Business Association will also be organizing some fun activities, such as local vendors markets and busker performances, to help make your Open City shopping experience the best one yet!
Open City Local Vendors Market
At the Open City pop-up markets, small business owners and artisans come together to showcase their passions, offering everything from handmade jewelry and artisanal foods to vintage clothing and home decor. It's not just a place to shop; it's an experience that fosters connections, supports the local economy, and celebrates the creativity and diversity of the community!
