The AME Church

The art represents the AME Church to which I was an active part of in Halifax and Amherst. The art was created to demonstrate the words church, community and family. Halifax will soon celebrate the didactic and visual public presentation of the AME Church ensuring our history lives on. The painting offers a multi-generational approach.

The North End of Halifax is located in Mi’kma’ki, the ancestral and unceded territory of the Mi’kmaq people. The people of the Mi’kmaw Nation have lived on this territory for millennia, and we acknowledge them as the past, present and future caretakers of this land.
