Ships

My approach to art for the community is to create work that is inspired by the community. It is my mental abstract approach to a community that is vibrant, and full of different people.
The north end inspires, to me, bright colour, and unusual imagery, much like my artistic vision.

Image Description

The image depicts a beige-coloured ship floating in a blue ocean. The ship looks to be cut in half, allowing the viewer to see inside. Three red and white striped smoke stacks appear at the top of the ship. A black boarder surrounds the image, and the word "inky" can be seen in red text at the bottom right corner.

The North End of Halifax is located in Mi’kma’ki, the ancestral and unceded territory of the Mi’kmaq people. The people of the Mi’kmaw Nation have lived on this territory for millennia, and we acknowledge them as the past, present and future caretakers of this land.
