Navigator Street Outreach

North End Halifax Navigator Street Outreach Program

The North End Navigator Street Outreach Program (NSOP) was founded on the belief that individuals who are facing challenges should have equal access to community services. By engaging with individuals who are homeless or
street-involved, the NSOP looks to provide support through this challenging time in their lives. The program is funded through the support of Halifax Regional Municipality.

NSOP provides a range of support services including:

  • assistance in securing employment,

  • finding sustainable housing options,

  • preventing eviction,

  • accessing medication,

  • obtaining addiction and mental health services,

  • offering financial aid,

  • addressing food insecurity,

  • acquiring essential clothing,

  • facilitating transportation,

  • connecting with educational institutions,

  • obtaining necessary identification,

  • and aiding with relocation.

Additionally, NSOP offers referrals to relevant community service departments to ensure comprehensive support.

The North End of Halifax is located in Mi’kma’ki, the ancestral and unceded territory of the Mi’kmaq people. The people of the Mi’kmaw Nation have lived on this territory for millennia, and we acknowledge them as the past, present and future caretakers of this land.
