Spirit

Moving to the North end of Halifax from Cape Breton, this piece is parallel in representing my growth as an individual and the vibrancy this community evokes. Living in the North end continuously provides me with opportunities to explore and immerse myself in experiences I adore. Walking through the streets, there is no shortage of unity in diversity which revives my creative side and inspires me to express my individuality.

The North End of Halifax is located in Mi’kma’ki, the ancestral and unceded territory of the Mi’kmaq people. The people of the Mi’kmaw Nation have lived on this territory for millennia, and we acknowledge them as the past, present and future caretakers of this land.
