Halifax Backpackers offers an authentic Halifax experience to travellers from around the world. Located in Halifax’s vibrant North End, it’s just a five-minute walk from our comfortable hostel to the Halifax waterfront and all other major amenities.

As a small, independent hostel, Halifax Backpackers embodies the grassroots community spirit that makes Halifax unique. We believe in inexpensive backpacking and positive communal experiences. We offer private and dormitory rooms at reasonable prices, and we provide free linens, Wi-Fi, maps and information.
