Tableau

I wanted to create surreal images that gave little indication of a specific time or place. I photographed this in the North End of Halifax close to where I was living on Creighton St. I go for many walks with my dogs in the neighbourhood and am always trying to scout out new spots to photograph. I like the idea of using spaces we might overlook in our day to day lives and create something interesting with it.

Image Description

A woman wearing a blue denim top and jeans holds a clear bag of oranges while walking down a street during a windy day. The sun is casting a large shadow behind the figure that forms a perfectly straight line down upon a building. Her hair is covering her face from the wind being so strong. Taken on Creighton St.

The North End of Halifax is located in Mi’kma’ki, the ancestral and unceded territory of the Mi’kmaq people. The people of the Mi’kmaw Nation have lived on this territory for millennia, and we acknowledge them as the past, present and future caretakers of this land.
