Marketing Coordinator - Summer Student

Job Overview: The Marketing Coordinator will be working closely with the Executive Director to support the development and implementations of marketing plans, strategies, and campaigns. As a successful hire, you will tackle everything from social media posts, website management, writing articles, data collection and analysis, and creating marketing material. The ideal candidate should be community-minded and a self-starter. The candidate should also have strong written and oral skills with demonstrated interpersonal and organizational abilities.

Responsibilities: Execute and engage businesses with a marketing plan and ensure creative content is aligned with our overall business improvement district strategy. Develop content and review management for social channels including Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. Manage and oversee new marketing initiatives. Coordinate the design of promotional material and distribute in online and offline channels. Website management, content and maintenance.

Requirements: Have a creative and analytical mind for developing material that supports the mission and mandate of the North End Business Association, while being able to engage with the local community and industry partners. Subject matter experience in all aspects of digital marketing including website content optimization, social media, content marketing, and project management. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. This position involves building and maintaining a social media presence on platforms such as Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook. Experience designing and developing marketing materials such as newsletters, social media graphics, and brochures. Ability to flourish with minimal guidance, be proactive and handle evolving situations. All candidates will be required to provide a portfolio of previous marketing collateral and be enrolled in a post secondary related field. Connection to the local North End community is considered an asset.

Position Type: Summer Student/Paid Co-Op

35 hours per week for 8 weeks

Salary: $15.00 per hour
